Commissioner Meyers works with the County Sheriff's Office, Constable's Office, Homeowners Associations, and Municipal Utility Districts to provide law enforcement services to Precinct 3's unincorporated areas. He was instrumental in creating two Emergency Service Districts in Precinct 3 to improve fire protection in rapidly growing unincorporated areas that needed service.
Commissioner led County efforts to pass ordinances that make it more difficult for sexually oriented businesses and game rooms to operate in Fort Bend County. These regulations reduce violent crime and human trafficking while combating their negative impact on property values.
